It's been a while since I've written here, been pretty busy with school and just going out and about the city. But the one thing I have to put on this blog right now is something I did yesterday that was inolvidable, unforgettable: puenting, or as we Americans know it, bungee jumping. It was a pretty much spur of the moment thing, some friends were talking about during our passing period of classes yesterday morning and my roommate asked me if I wanted to do it because she was going to do it. So I thought, why not?, and said sure. 1800 came, we met up with a lot of other girls and two guys and waited for the people that would take us close to Dúrcal, a little pueblo where there's a bridge that people usually go puenting off of when they come to Granada. A lot of little things happened that I really don't need to recount here, but they got everything set up, and the first girl went, that was so crazy. I was sixth, and I was so nervous. I was shaking on the inside but calm on the outside. It was dark by the time I got to jump because the process to get people hooked, them to jump, swing to the ground, and bring the rope back up took a long time. But I enjoyed going in the dark, it was so exhilarating plunging into darkness. So now, I'm just going to leave you with a video my wonderful friend Maddy took of me from the top. All you see is me dive into darkness. Enjoy:
