Yesterday was an absolutely fantastic day. It started off a bit stressful. Yesterday was the last day of intensives and the final test, so that was definitely not fun. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, so I think I actually did alright. I would hope so anyways, because after the test, a few of us stayed outside our classroom just chatting for a whole two hours even though we could have left and our teacher came out after grading our tests and said that everyone passed.
Then after the test, I came home for lunch. But lunch was different yesterday because our host parents had guests over. That was a great experience because Kyla and I got to practice our Spanish more and got a chance to listen to how a Spanish conversation flowed in a casual setting. The people were so nice and asked us a lot of questions (of course) and a lot of funny things happened. I can't recount anything because it was one of those things where you just had to be there, but I know I'll never forget it. We had couscous (I think that's how you spell it), pastella, piononos, I had another small alcoholic drink, they coerced me to try one so that they could see, it was like a shot glass sized of some mixed drink the son had made and it was pretty good but blehh, I really can't take the taste of alcohol.
Then after two and a half hours of lunch, it was finally siesta time. It was already 1600 and I had to meet Tess and Sarah at 1845 because we had planned to see the sunset in the evening and go out for tapas and chocolate and churros. So I got to sleep for about an hour and a half. Then I went to BK to meet up with them. We walked to the Sacromonte neighborhood where we had an amazing view of the Alhambra. We then walked to one of our favorite tapas places, Feng Shui Oriental Tapas Bar, and got drinks (I got a soda) and tapas there. Then we went to El Aguador, another one of our favorites, got more tapas there. And then met up with Danielle to get chocolate and churros at Restaurante Alhambra in the Plaza Bib-Rambla. It was a lot of fun just hanging out with friends for a chill night, and I love that we always talk about anything and everything. It had started to rain while we were sitting outside the restaurante, good thing we were under a covered area. But the walk home was fun, and slippery, because the sidewalk of Recogidas is tile. Got home pretty soaked, but I actually really loved walking in the rain. It felt so nice to be out there. Then I got to Oovoo my love, which made my week, because I had kind of had a bad week being really homesick. But my Friday was pretty amazing. I need more days like that.

It seems like it{s going to be a lazy weekend. Which I'm glad for, because actual classes start on Wednesday and I'm not looking forward to having 0830 classes. Also I'm really excited for next weekend. Friday afternoon we go to the Alhambra and Saturday we go to Nerja (again for me so woohoo!). I may also start volunteering to teach elementary school kids english and start playing volleyball and doing yoga. Super excited for these months to come. Hopefully I'm so busy that it'll go by fast, cause honestly, I can't wait till December.
